did 98 tacoma come with TRD option? differences?

did 98 tacoma come with TRD option? differences?
not sure if this 1998 i am looking at is a TRD or not. did they offer this package for 1998? it has black fender flares but no TRD sticker. what are the differences for the TRD option?

I don't know about the 98, but I have a friend with a 99 "TRD" that has no badging. This was before Toyota started "branding" TRD on their trucks. My friends 99 has a rear locker (look for the button on the dash on the left side of the steering column labeled "RR Diff Lock") and Bilstien shocks. They were still blue and yellow back then, hard to miss.
Those are the two things that will tell you if it is what you want. The big thing you want is the "RR Diff Lock" button. It's the equivilent of the modern day TRD.
