22r intake coolant leak

Alright so I just got my motor put in and filled with coolant. I immediately had a coolant leak at the first section of the intake. Is a high temp sealant good to use? I have a second intake if this one is warped but I’ve already got everything installed in this one and I’d prefer not to swap

Smearing something on the installed intake is not gonna cut it.

Swap, or re-gasket and seal this one,Iit's just about certain to have to come off.

Im sorry I wasn’t clear on what I meant. I of course Intend to pull the intake back off I’m curious at to what sealant I need to use on the gasket this time as I didn’t use any the first time along with any potential warpage that it could have.

Permatex Ultra-Gray is a good sealant, but a bear to remove and clean. In some applications it is better alone than with any gasket at all.

If the gaskets are high quality like Stone, or genuine Toyota, not glorified brown bag paper such as Evergreen, sealants are usually not needed.

I often just grease good gaskets lightly with white lithium grease.

You ought to be able to apply a straight edge, or lay the intake on a glass table to determine any warpage.

See if you can't determine exactly what caused/contributed to your leak. Sometimes heavy corrosion thins sealing surfaces substantially.

Best to tighten the intake fasteners from the center ones out, alternating side to side so that the manifold has it's best chance to lay down flat. Good luck!!
