Afternoon everyone! Started putting the 3VZE back together and as soon as I finished torquing down the heads had a second thought about the gasket orientation. They are both labeled "L" and "R" and i know they are on the correct sides. The "slipper plate" material is on the block deck. I have checked other posts for this but haven't come up with much, feel free to link me if you know where this info is.

I just want to confirm that the holes/openings indicated in the image above and corresponding identification below are correct. Seems like these would be oil passages right? I can't image coolant flowing to this side of the heads.... thanks for the help!

 

Correct, those are oil return/drain passages.
