87 4wd and am looking for a long bed tonneau cover. I have seen a snap fastener home made one. Do not have an industrial sewing machine heavy enough. Anyone know sources to keep the bed dry. thanks

 

I had an 81 long bed for a while and wanted a tonneau cover too. Couldn't find anything that would fit, so I made my own. 3 plywood sections, the middle was double the length of the two ends so that the ends could fold into the middle without overlapping. Inset hinges to connect them, covered it all with marine grade black vinyl stapled on and weather stripping around the edges to waterproof it. It was pretty janky but with the black vinyl it actually looked pretty good.
