87 4x4 tranny swap help
I have an 87 4x4 truck with a 22RE motor and an A 340 B automatic tranny that won't shift properly. I figure this is the time to put a 5 speed in. I just had a friend give me a wrecked 92 4x4 4Runner with the V6 and an R150F tranny. Can someone please tell me if this will be a good donor vehicle to swap parts from to upgrade my truck. I know I'm going to need the pedal assembly, hydraulic lines, and tranny/transfer case. What I don't know is will the pedal assembly fit? I assume the bell housing won't fit, can I fine one that will match my 22RE motor and the new 5 speed? Will the clutch parts fit? Will the splines on the drive shafts fit? Will they be the correct length? Will the auto cross member fit the 5 speed or should I use the one from the 4Runner? I'm sure there's going to be some electrical issues to figure out. What else am I missing? I don't want to get half way into this and then find out that nothing from the 4Runner will swap over and have 2 vehicles that don't run. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

In order to fit an r150 behind a 22re you’ll need to find an r151f bell housing. R151f transmissions and their bell housing are pretty much unobtainable and crazy expensive.
Anything is possible though, I suppose you could do some cutting and welding of the cast aluminum bell housings. It all depends on how much time, tools, skill set, friends, and money you have.
You could go 2rz/3rz/2tr....

As for the clutch pedal assembly, drive shaft lengths, cross member I have no specifics. If you have both vehicles, crawl under with a measuring tape and start looking around.
