Loose wire ends under dash on '85 questions

When wiring my analog clock, I found a loose wire near steering column and another, maybe from fuse block:

That's the Connector by steering column w/ loose ends Fuzzily shown are the gray end and brown end. Both are thru that connector (plug)

Loose end of Brown wire w/ soldered connector

The Jag clock works BTW

While working under dash I found a plug by steering column that has two wires disconnected (remember it's a 5 speed swap in an '85 cab & Chassis 1 ton RV) One wire is gray, cut. stripped, & taped near the connector. The other is a Brown that I may have pulled from fuse block when working.
I can't identify the plug on a wiring diagram, nor can I tell where any of the wires go when scouring my Haynes book and on-line diagrams*. So, it's down to photos and help from experienced dashboard surgeons for help. 6 Colors on the connector- none striped- Gereen, Red, Yellow, Gray (cut), Purple, Brown (disconnected)

Since the Gray had been cut & stripped, it might have been for either the AT or the Cruise Control which doesn't work. Just would like to know what and why, if it needs to go somewhere. there's no other loose end nearby.

The Brown looks like it was pulled out as it has an odd looking pointed piece soldered on. It is long enough to reach the fuse block and may have pulled out of there. If so, which fuse should it go to?

*(a chart of connectors w/ colors, or circuit list w/ colors, would help; any such resources?)

I will dig into my files and see if anything jumps out at me.

All I can think of off the top of my head is maybe the wiring for the backlight for the Automatic Transmission gear indicator, if the RV had a column shift.

Was this a column shift or a floor shift RV?

loose wires photos

As near as I can tell the AT shifter was floor mount. The floor pan hole at the shifter location was enlarges to allow 2, 4 & R on the 5 speed to engage. There's also an unused plug where the backlight lights at the shifter positions to connect, .
