1992 Pickup - 3vze - lost acceleration

HELP -1992 Pickup - 3vze - lost acceleration
I have 1992 Pickup (it's actually a Toyota Motorhome - Winnebago Warrior).
Driving from Seattle to Denver yesterday and just outside of Boise, the engine felt like it was missing spark when accelerating uphill only (downhill was fine). Got worse and worse to the point where it didn't want to accelerate at all. I shut it down for about 3-5 minutes, started it up and it went just fine for about 10 miles, then it started doing the same thing only this time it was on flat ground as well. Pulled over and shut it down for 3-5 minutes, started it up and it went fine again for about 10 miles. Limped my way to Peterson Toyota in Boise Idaho who is able to get me in first thing this morning. Any ideas what I might be facing here? Would love any insight you all might have.
Even if the Toyota dealer fixed it (fingers crossed they can do it today), I'm afraid to continue my trip to Denver with it. Can I trust it?
