Engine Builder in greater Denver area
Hey all, anyone have a good experience with an engine builder in the Denver/ North of Denver area? Willing to drive to get the right shop.
Looking on the google machine, Superioir Engine and USA performance are showing up. Anyone have experience with either of these shops?
Side note, if I take in a stripped block, how much should I expect to pay to bring back a rebuilt shortblock?
Thanks

I haven't found a shop yet. Local club recommended a couple of shops to me, Gunn Automotive (facebook page only). I called them and everything there seems just about right, except that they don't do any wet work or installation, just the machine shop, so it sounds like I would still have to do a fair portion of my own build (which is probably fine) but prices and timelines were reasonable.
The other shop was Mile High Performance, but I haven't checked them out at all.
I got stuck in the process of hunting down rust in my truck, so that's been the focus recently. If you find a shop, post up! (I'll do the same)

Then just this AM I saw an online review (from 3 yrs ago mind) that said "they put used/faulty/somethin parts and are a rip off". Online review, so theres that.
Just looking for skill, honesty and attitude. Not asking much, AmIRight?
Also saw a place over in Arvada, but haven't called them yet.

Is that the place on the south side of Loveland, near the Sonic right off US 287? I was fixing to take my block up and have them look at it, etc.

Not the same place, probably not the same people. There used to be a auto machine shop off Havana and 45th, probably a pot grow house now..
I'd say your best bet for a reputable long lived shop might be Havana auto. Between uhm Alameda and Mississippi on Havana St in Aurora. They have been in that location since atleast the 80's.
