Air injection tube

Does anyone know if I can remove my air injection tube and block off the two spots on the exhaust manifold. and then remove the pipe wrapping around the motor and block it off on the other side without doing an entire EGR delete. I've heard the EGR delete will kill gas mileage and I dont need all that. Only reason I want to block the air injection is because the bolts are broke on it and the gasket surface is warped pretty good. Thanks. 89 22re

Air injection, and EGR are not related.

Great. I didn't think they were but wasn't sure. And I didn't know if I did one I had to do both. So I can block that and get rid of all that no problem. Thanks.
