Need a 2 1/4" cat-back exhaust system for an '83

I ordered a header & a new cat converter from LCE for my '83 DLX 4x4. I would like to replace the rest of the exhaust system from the cat back with 2 1/4" tubing and a not-too-loud performance muffler that I can install myself. Sadly, I can find no sources online (doing a Google search) that sells a cat-back system for an '83 (too old, so no demand?). My local muffler shop will build me a system for slightly under $400, which I may have done if I can't find a DIY system.

Does anyone know of a source for such a system? It's only two pipes and a muffler. TIA for any ideas....

$400 sounds steep for a muffler shop. I got a complete custom cat back +muffler +flex section for $250. With that said I think http://www.walkerexhaust.com/ has most of the pipes you're looking for.

I just pieced it together with performance muffler and smaller pipes, hangers, etc from autozone.
A little trial and error, but way cheaper then $400.

This is what happens when you live in a small town in the middle of nowhere with only 2 muffler-type shops in town (not counting Midas, naturally). The bid I received was from the shop that is considered the better of the two.

Walker exhaust has standard 1 3/4" pipes available, but nothing larger. I'm looking for 2 1/4".

I think I'll call LCE back & see if they have any ideas/recommendations.
