Working on my friends RV, she had just replaced the ignition key switch and was having problems with it not turning over or responding at all when she turned the key. I was trying to figure out why it was like that and made the mistake of turning the key to the lock position. Now I cannot get it to move out of the lock position. What should I do?

 

Try turning the wheel one way or the other while turning the key.

 

X2 ^ this will take the pressure off the mechanical steering lock mechanism which will bind the key cylinder.
