Where to buy a replacement 1986 gas pick up tube for carburated engine?

I have a 1986 4x4 Toyota pickup with carbureted engine. I need to replace the gas pick up tube that sits on top of the gas tank. Where can I find a replacement?

New old stock sitting on a dealers shelf ?

Try and find a used one out of the Southwest .

Just how bad is yours ?? I have fixed them over the years

I am guessing you already checked out if any Aftermarket ones were to be had??

Are you looking for new or used? Either?

Some fuel pick up tubes are still available from Toyota, depending on your model. Toyota calls them: TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY, FUEL TANK SUCTION

You will need to check with your local dealer and give them your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to verify if the pick-up tube is still available, or you can enter your VIN on the Toyota Parts Deal website and it will show the correct parts for your truck according to your VIN.

Besides getting a genuine OEM part, a good used one would be your best bet.

I have not seen any aftermarket versions.

here is what I have done over the years of restorations I have done ..
you can buy a "universal" flex tube from (rubber fuel tube) typically any auto parts supplier , usually comes in a 20"-24" length ..
you'll obviously need to cut it .
it's lined with a metal wire , so not just a jig saw , I use a cutoff wheel .
now here is the trick .... Toyota tubes are metric , and aftermarket is all inches ..
https://www.google.com/search?q=fuel...=1532390214496

so I take the cut tube to my local exhaust company , and have them "stretch" it to the correct size on there expander machine
