1989 pickup clutch problems
I knew something was up when it was getting harder to put into 1st gear and 2nd gear with the truck running. When the truck is not running there is no problems switching the gears. I filled the master cylinder up, got under the truck and the slave was all the way out pushing to the rear. I could push it towards the engine with my thumb. Is it normal to have the slave all the way out pushing to the rear? Now it won't go into 1st or 2nd with the truck idling, but I can get to these gears when I rev the truck up. Has anyone encountered this and what was the fix? mThank you.

When I have clutch issues as you are describing, I replace both the Master and Slave Cylinders at the same time. You can replace the faulty component but usually the other one will eventually fail. Stay with Aisian.

Probably somewhere between 150k and 200k on the clutch. I got under the truck and the slave was pushed all the way to the rear. I took my thumb and pushed it towards the engine. I don't know but I think that it is stuck. What do you think?

I think it could be a bent clutch fork or warped disc unless you find an issue with the hydraulics, and I think with close to 200K on it you should plan to replace the clutch anyway. while you are at it reface the flywheel and find a clutch fork (at least to compare to yours).
