1993 22RE Engine miss/hesitation/power loss at random times - lasts one half second

1993 Dlx Pickup 4WD 22RE 2.4L with 220k miles (original motor)
I have a really odd engine miss/hesitation/power loss that occurs for less than half a second and then return to normal. I drive 20 miles to work and sometimes it does it three times, sometimes it does it none. I can’t recreate it on demand. It’s really weird, can be going up a hill while in a strain, starting out at a stop light or just while cruising down the highway @ 55mph. Just how it acts, I think it’s electrical and not fuel-related. I have fairly new plugs and plug wires and the timing is set, so I don’t think it’s anything to do with those. Distributor cap and rotor button look good. I just don’t want it to happen one day when I’m pulling out into the highway to merge in traffic. I’ve checked forums online and haven’t found anything specific there. Any ideas what I could check? Thank you.

My guess is you have a bad ground loose corroded.

As things move and flex you lose the ground engine shuts off reconnects all is good to next time

ECU ground on the intake can be finicky at times

Could also be a loose fuse in the fuse block they have a tendency to arc and open the fuse

you can go on and on
