Can anyone tell me how loose/floppy vs stiff/resistant the float arm is supposed to be on its swing hinge? Cleaning old corrosion off, but the rusted hinge is housed through plastic... can't really get in there...

Also is there any technicality to achieve when repositioning into tank?

EDIT (found out) loose and floppy. There can be a BUNCH of corrosion alomg the bar inside the plastic... rusto, deoxit, tweezers! soak time and working it got it cleaned out
