82 sr5 climate control?

Hey guys, anyone out there know where I can find a climate control unit for an 82? The on in my truck has been badly abused and the levers at bent making in nearly impossible to push or pull the cables, currently operating the bled doors by hand

i had to remove mine, clean it thoroughly, as well as lube the cables, now it works like new. That said, There are two versions: with AC and without AC.

Also: I may part with mine (non-AC) if I get my AC working after my engine swap is complete. Send a PM if interested.

Otherwise just watch local CL for part-outs or cheap 79-83 trucks that you might be able to snag parts from - that how I scored an entire AC system (including the climate control panel) 2 weeks ago.

thanks a lot! When I put my ac into my truck the only thing I needed to change on the panel was the fan speed knob. Got pictures of your non ac panel?

i figured I might be able to swap the A/C rotary switch / knob into my old panel, and I may end up doing that, but I haven’t even looked at that very close yet. The A/C panel has a little A/C graphic on it, but that’s just cosmetic.

Out of town now, i can send a pic of the panel this weekend. Both of the ones I have are in great shape.

I might be mistaken, but when I was doing research for my ac retrofit, the only difference was the knob, and the faceplate. But I have definitely been wrong before (most of the time). But yeah if they are identical I'd be happy to take one off your hands! I've been on the hunt for about 7 months now. Not too many people in western North Carolina are looking to get rid of 1st gen parts. Haha.
