Another noob with a noob type question

Have a 94 sr5 ext 4x4 manual 5 speed trans v6 (swapped in 3.4 6 months ago) manual hubs. Yesterday was out on favorite old road in 4x4 everything was fine. I came to a stop while in 4 high for about 30 secs. Went to let out clucth and all 4 wheels were frozen . Put it in 4 low same thing wouldn't budge. Put it in 2 wheel drive and unlocked the hubs drove fine. Any ideas?

You have a gear selector ring in the middle locking high and low together. Sounds like you need to jack up the rear and walk the drive shaft around. Do you have the gear drive or chain drive xfer case. If its the chain drive, you probably broke the chain.

Interested in topic. Buddy just had a similar situation with 3.4 swapped rig %151 tranny and dual gear cases. He had increese in RPM but no motion in 2wd. Suspect an input shaft failure on TG setup. He's in AZ so waiting for him to dig into drivetrain.

Did rig seem like it was pushing forward with increase in throttle input or like being in neutral?
