Please help!!!!😩 85 22r 106k running rough, black smoke

I have a one owner 1985 with 22r carbureted with 106k miles. In the last month I have been experiencing the following

1. Rough start and Idles fine until to temp.
2. Loads of black smoke out of exhaust
3. Glowing Bright red Cat (even the brand new one).
4. At temp dies when stopping, if rpm falls under 1500,
5. Sputters with delayed response to gas pedal

Since this all started I have changed fuel filter, fuel pump, plugs, Wires, distributor cap, then rebuilt the carburetor (all except the Coke diaphragm because I couldn't figure out how to get it out of the carburetor without removing the electrical hookup and I don't have a rivet gun to replace the rivets. Honestly the carburetor wasn't that hard to figure out just took some common sense. Triple checked the float was to specs per my Chiltons reference.

Truck ran ran good for about 15 minutes came back to temp and is still throwing black smoke with rough idle. For now it's stopped dying at the stop but I've only driven 1/2 mile since. I have videos if I can figure out how to upload them to fourm!!! Please help.

Red face

Almost sounds like a jumped timing chain .

Has the use of Fuel increased in a major way

Glowing Cat says ignited fuel into the exhaust system or really restricted cat

Did anything happen you recall when this all started ??

Just the normal 30 mile commute got on base fine no issues (including stopping at the gate)... in the parking lot I slowed for a speed bump and after the bump it sputtered and died I coasted in the parking spot then couldn't get it started for about 4-5 hours after

Agreed what wyoming says.
But, before you pull the timing cover, check the AFM to see if the door (flapper) is opening/shutting properly or stuck open?

Can't find a picture of a 22r, but this should direct you to your's.
There is a door or flapper inside, might be hanging up or stuck.

I made a mistake regarding AFM I keep thinking of a "22RE" I apologize.
Yours has a carb.
Possible choke is stuck.
