1985 toyota Celica. seafoam, overheat, wont start now
Hi there, I have a 1985 toyota Celica
it has a 100k miles.
it was in great shape until i seafoamed it.
I followed this guys instructions
this is what happened.
1. it overheated
2. I checked the coolant in the reservoir and the radiator. the coolant and the radiator was full. boiling fast.
3. I let it cool off and it started again.
4. did not start .
5. i looked at the oil in the top and the dip stick. i dont think it has water in it. no bubbles
I honestly think its the seafoam. it was working great until i used the seafoam
I think the worse case scenario is a engine job. head? or complete. Hopefully, the piston is not messed up.

In the video it shows him pouring a lot into the crankcase. Directions only call for 1-1.5 onces. Most others only do half a can in gas tank and other half sucked in brake booster vacuum line. Curious why you decided to do this on a perfectly fine 100K mile motor to begin with?

I am curious just why did it over heat??
If it got Hot enough the head gasket might have failed.
Coolant should not be boiling in the radiator
Not starting in crawling around the engine compartment did you knock the coil wire loose ??
I have done this so often it pulls out just to not make the connection
