hello,95 taco. pulled the ebrake handle right off; did not think i was pulling that hard but there ya go. how do i get it back on. i have the handle, a spring, and something reminiscent of a hex key with a plastic part on it...any suggestions? its blocking my wifes car, of course.

Did the plastic 90 degree just come loose and pull off .

It is held on with a set screw (off the top of my head)

I have seen the plastic break in that case a new handle or some epoxy should fix things

Or did the cable break if the cable broke the brake would not be engaged .

Till you figure out how to fix this vise grips or channel locks should allow you to release the brake and free your wife`s vehicle
