1989 PU V6 Throttle Body Replacement

I have a 1989 SR5 Extended Cab 4X4 Pick-up 3VZE engine. I have been told that I need to replace the Throttle Body. I found a part on ebay motors. How difficult is it to replace? Is there somewhere I can get the steps?

Just why does yours need to be replaced ??

I have removed so many I forget just how overwhelming this might look the first time !!

Pretty much take the old one off disconnecting the Air intake pipe linkage vacuum lines and coolant hoses if equipped

Does your new one come with the TPS if not that will need to be swapped over

Install the new one.

New gaskets if possible I have used a thin layer of silicone when I forgot where I put the New Gaskets

If need be take pictures before you start

Thank you wyoming9. The issueI have a 1989 Pick-up, SR5 with the V6 (3VZE) engine. The tachometer fluctuates and I have been told that I need to replace the throttle body. However, they are impossible to find and the units I have found in a junk yard are not any better than mine or they are damaged. The problem seems to be when I start the truck in the morning. Once the truck has warmed up, the problem seems to go away.
What could be the issue and how can I resolve it? Does Toyota sell the necessary gaskets?
