We've had some folks asking us for these covers for a while, but we didn't think the demand was there.
Then we hired an engineer who is obsessed with the Eaton axles (should have been a red flag... haha) who came up with this design, and here we are.
Because I am still skeptical of the demand, we've got the pieces to make an initial run of 50 covers. So if you are one of the folks asking us for these, it's a good time to get in on this.
Like all of our other covers, these are all 3/8" thick plate, welded inside and out, then the sealing surface is machined to avoid leaks, and we counter-bore where the bolt heads go so can actually fit a socket around the head of the bolt.
