I'd like to piggyback on this topic. I need a Sac area mechanic that knows 22RE engines for a smog failure fix. Corona, sadly, is more like 6-1/2 to 7 hours from Sacramento.

 

Sounds like you know what needs to be replaced, why do you need to find a mechanic? It is a weekend task to complete at a moderate pace, and very strait forward to complete. I would love to make some extra money, but time is not available too me.

What is the readout for the failure? What did you do too the 22re before the test? Post your readout and you can be pointed in the right direction.
