Using 3VZE catalytic convertor on 3.4 Swap?
Wondering just how much of my current 3VZE exhaust I can recycle for my 3.4 swap, I am getting the crossover pipe from ORS but then what?? ideally I can just plumb that into my exisitng exhaust so I do not need to get the whole thing re-done? I know I need to get 2 new 3.4 o2 sensors
I have a 92 Toyota RV (2wd longbed pickup basically), Looks like this is Cali truck, currently has 1 o2 sensor in front of TWO cats, i imagine i would have to add a bung past the cats for the second o2 sensor or run the URD simulator for the 2nd sensor
my 3.4 is out of a 1996 T100

Since you're in California, call the SMOG Referee 1-800-622-7733 and ask those questions for the "official" response.
As for the 3.0 catalytic converter, throw it in the garbage/recycle can; you can't use it, legally, with the 3.4 in California. When doing the 3.4 swap, you're basically turning your truck into the donor truck in the eyes of the CA SMOG program. So, for your application, your truck must meet all SMOG guidelines for a 1996 T100. If there were common parts between a 96 T100 and your 87 4Runner, you could use those, but that list is probably pretty small.

I got a new one that spec for the 3.4 engine. If you blew HG, the old one is not good anyway. The coolant messed with the cat. chemical. Either won't pass smog or smell like rotten egg later on. I had a 89 Supra with bad HG and got it fixed but the cat stings after that.
