Hi:

I'm a new owner of an '89 base pickup. The bench seat on the driver's side is tired out, and the cover's shot. Anyone have a source for replacing the whole seat w/ a good salvaged seat? Color is blue.

Barring that, I may try refoaming the seat myself and covering the shot OEM cover with a good aftermarket set. I know I should use high-density foam (2.9/45 pounds), but how thick was the OEM foam on the seat and back?

Also, what's the story with gluing a thin layer of memory foam on top of the HD? One upholsterer told me it's a great upgrade, but another said it's a big mistake.

Any tips or links from someone who's done this would be very much appreciated.
