Are these hoses going to the correct places? I'm on the next step in my horrible mileage witch hunt (11.7 mpg from a 2WD 22RE 5spd). I replaced the hoses with silicone and noticed that P on the throttle body goes to the charcoal canister and E on the TB goes to P on the EGR Vacuum Modulator. Seems to me that those should be the other way (P to P and E to Charcoal Canister), though the hoses look correct when they're routed that way (how it was when i got it). Marked up picture attached with detail shots of TB and EGR Vacuum Modulator.

I have the 1993 FSM and I looked at the vacuum hose schematic, but there's no mention that I saw of which port the hoses go to on the TB just that they're on the front.

Can I maybe see some pics of correct functioning setups?

Looks like you got it right. The vacuum diagram under the hood is easier to read that the one in the service manual. The diagram under the hood closely corresponds to the actual positions of the vacuum taps.

 

Awesome, thank you! I somehow never noticed that diagram under the hood, you're right it is much easier to read. I just looked it all over and everything is going where it should.
