I am trying to disconnect the fuel line at the connection just inside the passenger side wheel well. I backed off the connector several turns and then it gets tight again. I can feel the metal tubing moving inside the fitting, but am afraid to keep wrenching it since it got tight again. Is this normal, or am I doing something wrong?

 

Try using a little WD-40 or equivalent. And working it back in forth until it loosens up.
