I have a very nice "ranch hand" style front bumper I purchased from a man at a swap meet but fits 89-95 pickup and I noticed the mounts are different for the 84-88's, has anyone thought of a bracket or another variation to make the bumpers interchange?

 

84-85 are different to 86-88 as well, just find a welder friend to cut off the old mounts and make new ones to fit.

 

pretty much just make new brackets.

Now if your the type things need to be perfect more then likely you will not like how it ends up fitting

Need a Good bumper more then looks you can live with it.

I put a Ist generation Smitty Built bumper on my 2000 Tacoma

 

Yeah, I think I made a TJM bumper for a 2nd gen 4runner work for my 85 4runner once. Had to modify the side caps but it worked. Wasn't for looks so I was happy.
