Blower motor speeds

i am in the process of getting my newly acquired 95 4Runner on the road and had a question about the blower motor; I just pulled the fan and took a look at the resistor, both seem to be operating normally, the fan runs at different speeds and I can hear clicking when i change the speeds, I assume it's coming from the resistor. my question is when I change the speeds, they are off quite a bit, in between lo and med it runs the fastest and hi and lo are the same speed, hi might actually be a bit slower. Any ideas? Maybe the controls themselves are shorting out? thank you in advance!

More then likely it is the resistor that you think is fine

Unless someone was in there and has things connected wrong

that's kinda what I figured but was wondering if anyone else had something similar happen to them. it's worth swapping out anyway I guess just to mark that one thing off the list of possible issues

Pay attention to if you have a 3 or 4 pronged resistor when swapping it out. They are not interchangeable.

I replaced the resistor and it didn't fix anything; the clicking is coming from the relays in that area. Nothing with the wiring looks butchered either
