Hello, I am wiring up a power lock/window swap into my 4runner using the factory door lock control relay box and have figured out most of the wires except for the hot wires. There seems to be 3 wires going to the box with power, one marked "IGN" fuse, one marked "Power Lock CB," and one marked "Door Lock CB" 20A.

I was wondering if I could run all three of these wires into one wire with a 20 amp fuse and run it directly to my battery so I will have constant power?

Or am i incorrectly reading the diagram? the first two wires are not connected to the horizontal line on the top where the hot wire is, so maybe those two wires (ign fuse, and power window ) arent directly wired to power?

It is after all your vehicle you can do what you want .

Since the circuit breakers can be reset after tripping or reset themselves been quite some time I would need to look to be sure just what kind we have.

It might be a pain having a fuse open every time you tried to open the window till you figured just what inrush draw the motors might have

You just need to experiment to you find what works .

Maybe just get two circuit breakers and a fuse and get it as close to factory as possible just a thought.

 

I was just curious because I know I have the power window CB and ignition fuse, but I looked and I do not have the door lock CB and I don't think my fuse panel is wired for it. Is wiring the fuse box very difficult?

It depends not hard in a technical sense can be time consuming .

then you can always add whatever you need.

Wire it however you want as long as the circuits are protected
