So i would like to convert my 1988 Toyota 4x4 pickup to a 4bt engine. So i was having troubles finding a bell housing converter for the w56 transmission. Can this transmission be used? If so could someone please assist me on finding the converter. Or if it will not work can you help me find a new transmission that will work?

 

Welcome to Yotatech! You might try the engine swap forum/section, there's a diesel swap sub-forum you might have better luck finding info there. I remember someone doing this swap awhile back, but can't remember what trans he used, I'll see if I can find his thread and post it up.
