Coolant mixture percentage calculation

I was mixing some coolant yesterday and realized I wasn't 100% sure, pardon the pun, what the exact percentage of coolant to water was going to be. I finally figured it out it my head. And the number I got in my head matched the actual percentage calculated by hand. But I want to see how long it takes you guys to figure it out...in your head. No cheating. Yeah...right.

Question:

I mix 1.5 gallons of undiluted/100% coolant with 1 gallon of water. What percentage of the resulting 2.5 gallons is coolant?

40/60. Yes, in my head.

However, this does not take into account any residual coolant mixture in the system.
