A couple days ago my 86 4runner started running a little rough and warm. At some point the radiator completely crapped out and dumped all the fluid. I replaced the radiator yesterday and hoped that everything was going to be fine, but now it starts rougher and wont hold an idle. Sometimes before I even pull up to stop signs it dies because the RPMs aren't high enough. While running though it works just fine.

The last time it ran like this it was because the alternator had given up on me, so I replaced that about 3 years ago. My question now is, when the radiator finally completely gave out is it possible that the fan sprayed the alternator with so much fluid that it shorted and thats why it isn't working? Or could it be something completely different.

My truck also has always run kind of rough in the when it rains and it's been raining pretty good here for the past week or so. I'm hoping once the rain clears and everything dries out again it will start running normal. But until then any ideas would be appreciated
