Hey guys, I'm new here. An have been searching everywhere to find what I need an I haven't been able to find the info. I have a 94 4Runner with a blown 3.0. I have a '84 22r for cheap an would like to know if it will bolt up to the engine mounts an tranny. I checked the transmissions built for both years an they are the same manual transmission. Am the 94 came with the option of a 22re so a 22r should bolt right up right? Of course I'd need to change the wiring harnes, computer, exhaust/intake manifolds etc. I can get all those parts but really need to know if the '84 22r will fit into my 94 4Runner with a blown 3.0.

No you need to change the Engine mounts.

They are not even close.

Cross member and the Trans mount

This is going to be lots more work then what you think

 

So il have to change the engine mounts? Okay.
So your sayin I gotta change the tranny too along with the crossmember an transmission mounts??

What else would have to be changed?

If the transmission are correct to the motor, they are actually different. They will interchange but you would need to cut the transmission shift hole larger.
