93 pickup lift ideas

I have a 93 ext cab 4wd 5 spd pickup. 103000 miles. Just recently picked up a bed for it, old bed rotted away, once I get the new bed on and whole truck painted, I would like to lift it. I would like to hear what some of you all did to your toyotas, and what kind of lift I should do. Thank you

While you're swapping the bed, do a 2" body lift. It'll be way easy.
Then do some ball joint spacers and and add a leaf in the rear and get some taller rear shackles.
You should be able to fit 35's and keep good ground clearance that you would lose with a bracket lift.
You'll also be able to crank your torsion bars just a bit and keep close enough to stock geometry to not wear out parts. Get new shocks and enjoy!
The whole deal can be done for less than $300

What he said, I did the 2 inch body lift, add a leaf and tweaked the t-bars. sitting on 32's no problem.

1" body lift would get the hood to clear the engine if you ever do a 3.4 swap down the road. I think a rig with standard non sagging springs and a 1" BL gives it a good stance. I'm running 32x11.5s on mine and like it.

Keep it as low as possible - so I say no lift...at least not until you're ready for bigger tires to fill the gap and new gears to move them big rubber...and bigger brakes depending on how big you go....upgrade one thing and you gotta address something else now! Also for our longer xcab trucks, for some people it's more advantageous to use suspension lift to gain belly clearance vs a body lift. My break over angle leaves a lot to be desired and I hit my crossmember all the time offroad. A tummy tucking crossmember will also gain at least 1.5"

I run around 2" suspension lift (22.5" from center axle to bottom of fender, both f/r) and have 33x12.5 tires - just enough lift to clear after meeting with the BFH.
