I picked up a 1994 pickup to scavenge the transmision and engine from to swap into my 4runner. In order to order a kit I need to know if it's a:
1 piece first and 1 piece third synchro,
1 piece first and 3 piece third or a,
3 piece first and a 3 piece third.

I would undoubtedly go with a marlin kit, but their kits only go up to october of 1991. Has anybody had success with changing out a multi piece synchro with a 1 piece synchro? I have searched for this and all the build threads are so old the pictures aren't being hosted anymore so I can't see the parts.

While we're at it, has anybody found a fsm link that isn't dead? I tried the first page of search results and all of them are dead or bring me to an about:blank page.

Also, what is the transmission code for the chain driven t case on a 1994 pickup? I've searched marlin and here but the only think I can find is how to tell if it's gear or chain driven, I need the specific model of transfer case.

 

So, I've finally found the transfer case model number. Does vf1a sound right to anybody? Still need a fsm if anybody has a working link. As well as an answer to my synchro question.
