85 4Runner Worries......

Does anyone know if i will due any damage to the CPU or electric system if i connect the battery so i can do some electric work inside. The MOTOR is out but the harness is still their? Any Ideas......

I have done it several times. Just make sure all connectors are not touching metal or each other. A few of the things you can check are lights, horn, blower motor, and maybe a few other things that I cant think of right off.

do I need to worry about the fuel pump also

I have checked the fuel pump with the fuel pump bypass jumper in its place. As long as you don't have the jumper in, it wont operate the fuel pump.
