changing oil pan gasket

I am looking for help with changing the oil pan gasket on my 2000 4runner. I just did an engine swap on her after hydro-locking her 5months ago. If anyone has some good suggestions on the best way to change it so I can stop the oil leak that would be awesome. Thank You

Since I never have done this.

I would suggest doing some searching

The hard part is getting enough clearance to get the pan off because of the oil pick up .

Some say you need to drop the differential others say it is just easier to pull the engine.

If your luck is better then mine !!!

You might be able to drop the pan enough to apply a bead of silicone around the pan .

Without cleaning both surfaces .

My luck it would leak worse after attempting this fix then before .

It is a pain in the butt no matter how you try and attempt this.
