I have an 02 Taco 4wd 4dr with 248,000 miles. I recently noticed a noise coming out from under the truck which sounds like its coming from the front end somewhere. It's a clunk like something hitting metal on metal. I replaced the inner and outer tie rod ends as well as the right axle shaft. It's only noticeable at slow speeds and being in or out of 4wd doesn't seem to matter. I noticed a few things when checking out the noise. One is my drivers side axle has much more movement up and down then the right side at the differential. It's mostly when I hit a bump or turn left hard. Two is I noticed the dynamic damper weight moves a lot. Not sure if that is normal. I am totally baffled. Any thoughts?
