Radiator leak. Now where to? (2000 v6)

Hey all,

I have been having trouble with my 2000 v6 5VZ for about a year.

To sum it up.
1.) it has been leaking coolant. (mild leaking)
2.) it overheats on hot days (especially with AC on) or on intense up hill roads (even when the air temp is cool).
3.) it still drives fine on short distance trips and maintains even water temps.

Recently I really got it to overheat and found out that there is a small leak in the radiator. (just found it this month after having this overheating/leaking problem for over 1.5 years)

So the question is, where to start for replacing parts and or troubleshooting.

1.) totally replace radiator body?

2.) look for leaks in hose systems?

3.) try something else?

Here is the picture of the hole/leak while it was overheating.

Thanks!

You can look into a Radiator Shop replace the bottom tank weather it is cost effective depends on the price.

Just how many miles maybe time for a New Radiator Hoses for sure.

Bugs and dirt blocking the air flow??

Fan Clutch working like it should ??

I replaced my radiator with a 3 row Copper and Brass one a few years ago.

*** One thing to remember that little crack can become quite big at anytime

I had great luck with Radiator Barn till they want away.

Since I have all new Radiators I really have not done any real searching

Perhaps the Radiator God can give some advice on where to buy.

Replacing the radiator did the trick! (also replaced the cap)

original tubing and clamps all seem to work fine!
