New 87 4runner owner from Nor Cal

Hey guys, just introducing myself. I am from the sacramento area and I just bought this 87 4runner!

It came with a rebuilt motor, the 10 inch slot mags that are on it (haven't decide if I like them ornot yet) and all in all is in really good condition considering the 220k mileage on the chassis!

Plans are to do very little to it as of yet, except maybe bump the tire size up just a bit, and get new bumpers. Not a fan of the brush guard thats on it now.

I also am a Kydex holster manufacturer so I am thinking about making custom kydex door cards with some molle attachments in them or something. I will make sure to post pictures If I do!

Yup! No rust except for a little suface rust on that cheap brush guard. Which is going away anyway.

I don't envy the guys back east with that road salt!

Looks a lot like my Runner. I even have the same brush guard. I like it. It worked great when I was off-roading in Yuma, Az area. And I did. Offroad. A lot.
Biggest difference(s) is the sun roof, which I aint gots, and mine is Toyota grey. No stripes, either. I really need to get the whole thing repainted by a pro, though. It's....failing. Rattle-can touch-ups, but, well, you know.
I know the frame is good at least. No road salt here. They use lava rock. Works great, but it's a little hard on paint.

I've got a pickup, too, same color, same year. Pickup is first half of 87, 22R, 4Runner is the second half, 22RE. It matters, too. But they look identical to the B Post.

Anywho, welcome aboard! I wish you all the best with your Runner!
