22RE Intermittent CEL and Truck Surges During Acceleration

I have been having a strange and frustrating problem with my truck..

-The CEL comes on and off randomly with no stored codes
-This normally happens after the truck is warm
-Sometimes when shifting gears or accelerating from a stop the truck jerks violently (like fuel is being cut or something)

My fuel pump recently died and I replaced it with new. Was hoping this problem would also be fixed, but no luck.

For the record I recently rebuilt the engine and I had issues with it before the rebuild (oil consumption mainly) but I don't remember this being one of them.

Has anyone else seen something like this?

Anyone think my TPS might need adjustment? Had this on another one years ago and if I remember correctly that fixed it.

This thing makes my head hurt

Anyone experienced anything like this?

Only seems to happen when the truck is warm, and when accelerating. It's very annoying, you could be trying to turn left through an intersection from a stop and the truck with start to die halfway through the intersection and then suddenly the power all comes back. Very unpredictable other than the check engine light..
