OME front springs,the soft/stiff question.

I'm looking at springs. The ones on my 85 4wd extracab are worn out.(front).

Its stock for height, modest tires, etc. Its a daily driver.I live in Colorado,we get some weather.I may use a forest service road, sure,I'll go camping.

But,I don't do the serious stuff many of you gear up for.A stock Toy wll do me,its just wore out.

I'm looking at OME,between the 008 and 009 springs.The 009 scall for between 110 and 240 lbs load.I think I understand that means weight like a winch.
However,I weigh in at about 285.Many of the folksI might travel with go 200 lbs +

Also,As I doubt I will find a non-rusty original box anytime soon, likely I will build a flatbed.II will concentrate on keeping weight down, but anything I make will be heavier than an original box.Just 60 in wide sheet of 12 or 14 ga sheet is in the 200 lb range.

So,I'm leaning toward the stiffer 009 springs.Yes?No?

I assume I'll need U-bolts,bushings,and shackles.I may have to get by with some non-exotic shocks for a while, budget wise. They will be better than what I have.
Oh! Brake line question. Its a 2 in kit,or less.I'm OK with putting on brake lines, but originals,or extended? The extended ones I have found are 26 in.

Stock,26 in or something else?
