'95 T100 lurching on uphills?

I recently purchased a 1995 T100 manual transmission. I've had it about a month but just did my first long road trip in it today (Bozeman to Seattle). I've noticed around town that when I'm taking a corner slower in 2nd gear, it lurches a bit upon acceleration. Then today while driving up and down several passes, I noticed it does the same thing going up hills in 4th and 5th gear. It maintains speed and power just fine and it shifts fine, but something is slipping... could it be the transmission? Something else? It only has 177k and was well maintained before I bought it.

Maybe throttle body and idle valve need cleaning? I use CRC throttle body spray on idle valves and haven't had one screw up yet.
