86 pick up 22r will not start in the am without starting fluid.
I have a 1986 Toyota with a 22r engine. In recent weeks the only way I've been able to start it in the morning is to add a shot or two of starting fluid to the carb. Need some ideas on how I can correct this problem.

Welcome!!
How about a little back history just what have you done trying to fix this so far??
Once the vehicle has started the first time are you good to it is parked for a long time again??
Off the top of my head ignition or fuel.
Bad needle valve allowing gas to siphon out of the carb
Carb problem allowing it to drain into the engine over night getting any fuel in the oil?? Notice any external fuel leaks or fuel mileage in the single numbers.
plugs tired and worn or fouling to the point they don`t want to fire after sitting and getting cold. Might also just be in need of a good tune up.
What do the plugs look like??
As starting fluid burns hotter

After I start it and it warm's up it will start up again unless it sits for an extended amount of time say 90 min. or so. I haven't noticed any fuel leaks or bad fuel mileage. I removed and cleaned the plugs and found they were still in good order. I've cleaned the carb and the choke. I'm thinking something with the carb/fuel because using the starter fluid you just replacing fuel its not getting correct.
