Idle High After Rebuild. Idle Adj all the way in..

I just rebuilt my engine, again, (didn't break in right last time), and I'm having issues with the idle.

I've got the idle adjust screw all the way in and it still idles around 1k. Every now and then the CEL comes on, and then goes off again almost right away.

The ignition timing is right at 5 but hard to know if it's good or not without being able to get the idle down.

Can anyone thing of vac hoses that could have been crossed or something that would cause it to do this? Doesn't seem to have a vacuum leak and I'm sure all the hoses went back on, but it's definitely possible that a couple of them got crossed...

No way to know for sure unless you check it.

TPS adjustment?

I had the same issue and adjusting the TPS solved it. I used the writeup on 4crawler's site
