95 Limited nearly identical to mine for sale

The wife and I were coming back this afternoon from test-driving the new GMC Canyon (S-10 replacement) and saw the twin of my 4Runner for sale. The guy is asking $6500. Here's the lowdown...

1995 4Runner Limited-Metallic Green
Leather seats (front in poor shape)
Chrome running boards (missing some plastic trim)
152,000 Miles
Antenna broken.
Clear-coat peeling on the hood.
Dash has 3 cracks and a dash mat.
Sunroof, cruise, auto tranny, etc.
Bunch of stupid decals on windows.
The guy also ruined the nice clean look from the side by putting a rubber bumper strip all along the side.
Tires are BF Goodrich Long Trails and have maybe 10,000 miles left on them.

I've seen this one going to work for years and thought if I ever saw it for sale, I snatch it up. Now that I've seen it, mine is in MUCH better shape. I wouldn't pay $6500 for it. Maybe $4000 if it's in good mechanical condition.

So are you going to get it? The early 3rd gens are becoming very affordable so maybe you should look for one of those. Better engine by far.

No, I won't get it. I don't need another project...Although I'm pretty good and fixing everything that it needs. I am shopping for another vehicle though...and we (the wife and I) still love 4Runners or trucks. That's why we went out...car shopping. I need something for her that is pretty dependable and the 4Runner is getting a little long in tooth. Of course that means that she will get the new whatever, and I get the 4Runner.
