Am I a chick because of This?

I want to do something under the hood while the engine is out. I either want to paint it or line it with the do it yourself durabak liner. I'm thinking of painting it that new ford exploder yellow.
Here is a pic of what it looks like now.

Do it. But do it for the sound proofing. Just don't get it close to the exhaust manifolds, crossovers or headers.

Have fun unbolting everything you can from the inner fender wells and firewall and masking it up for paint. I did it on my toy when I changed the color, lots of work, but I'm glad I did it.

No, it doesn't make you a chick. I think it'd look nice.

I think it might look good, but why yellow???? And its not that bright yellow is it?

I'd try and get some lexan or cardboard or something, spray the color on there, and hold the color up to your truck. If you don't like the color combo, then you will know it before its too late. If it was me, yellow would be too bright for everything but a yellow exterior as well.

Or are you talking about painting the block of your engine??? That might be pretty cool

I've wanted a Yellow 4x4 for sometime. I'm just not too sure what I want under the hood. Black sound dampening liner or Yellow to macth the exterior. The yellow I want is off the new fords.

So you are getting your whole truck painted as well??? If so, then I say go for colormatching your fenders. Mostly I'd say go black, since that will match with anything, should you choose a different shade or not yellow at all, or are unable to get the truck painted for a few years.
