Parked 99 taco horn and lights going off

My truck has been parked a few months due to needed a new engine.

It has decided to remind me it exists by randomly turning in its horn and or lights.....

Around here this time of year especially when the electrical gremlins come calling we start looking for mousies and more.

Obviously still got the battery connected, I'm no electrical wizard, but maybe disconnecting that when you're not busy figuring it out (the short?) would be a good idea?

No alarm system, right?

You have a truck waiting for a new engine for a few months and the battery is still connected let alone still in the truck??

I would venture something has chewed some wires or gremlins hope for the first.

You haven't been paying enough attention to your truck!
Have you seen the movie Christine?
