mounting aluminum truck box

had my truck line-x. when the truck was being done. i mounted my hi lift jack to the front of my truck box. my questions are- i really don't think the J hooks would be strong enough to hold the top heavy truck box now- has anybody mounted their boxes by drilling through the bed rail and mounting it with bolts? second, i assume i can drill through the line x, without cracking or chipping it? thanks

we drilled through my friends line-x with no problem. No cracking or chipping so you should be fine.
